Read below for more information...

Glass Art Showcase

Announcing a new opportunity to advertise your glass art

The Glass Art Calendar will now be including two showcase pages in the 2009 calendar. This is a unique opportunity for you to promote yourself and your work in a finely printed and widely distributed publication. The Glass Art Calendar Showcase will include a photo of your work, your contact information and plenty of additional space for information you would like to include. It's basically advertising space, albeit beautifully designed!

The Glass Art Calendar is the premier lampwork glass art calendar and has a broad customer base from the United States to many European countries. The calendar can be seen in gift shop museums such as the Corning Museum of Glass and Toledo Museum of Art. The calendar is also distributed through many glass suppliers throughout the USA, and we have just recently secured a wholesale glass distributor which will make the calendar easier for purchase to international customers.

Below you will find a photograph of asample page of the showcase page. This is a quick draft to give you an idea of how the showcase pages would look. We have limited space available, so please contact us before March 30, 2008. EXTENDED TO APRIL 30

Each 3.5” x 3.5” (approx) space sells for $300 and you would also receive 2 complimentary 2009 calendars and the showcase pages would be added to our website. For more information, please contact Jeanette Blix at
jeanetteblix@earthlink.net.

Thank you.

Glass Art 2008 Calendar Reviews are coming in!

I love the calendar!  Especially the cover!  It makes me covet Kristina Logan's beads!!!!   I will continue to buy every year!
Susan

My calendar arrived about a week ago, and I am just thrilled with it. The photos and printing are great. I was going to tell you my favorite month, but can't decide. I like that there is a mix of beads and jewelry.

" The 2008 Glass Art calendar exceeds the 2007 calendar in beauty, and
that's saying a lot. Even though 2008 is many months away, my
calendar is already on the wall, with the cover beautifying my desk
area. Even though I may never own glass art like the beads depicted
in the calendar, I use the beautiful photos as inspiration for my own
beaded treasures.    Also, I now have a reason to say yes
when my husband talks about getting a motorcycle."
- Kathy N-V in Boston, MA

I am still admiring my 2007  calendar and look forward to using the new one.  I received my calendar yesterday.  I am pleased with it.  The paper is slick and heavy duty.  The photography is impeccable.  I like that there isn't any writing that would detract should I decide to frame one or more of the pics.

The Glass Art Calendar is printed in Vermont and uses state of the art stochastic four-color printing technology. We strive to produce a beautiful calendar with images that are suitable for framing.  The final printed calendar will be offered to the public for $17.95, though I am offering a special pre-order price of $14.95 until June 1st. Glass Art 2008 Calendar

Glass Art Calendar 2008

This year at the 2007 Bead & Button show, the Glass Art 2008 Calendar artists will be participating in the silent and live auction-Bead Artists Against Breast Cancer by donating their Glass Art that is being featured in the 2008 Glass Art Calendar.  Glass Art Calendar and Bead & Button are incredibly greatful for their generous contributions. To read more about the auction, I have attached a portion of the Bead & Button newsletter below.

Bead Artists Against Breast Cancer - Silent and Live Auctions
Many of you have e-mailed us regarding the Silent Auction during the Show and your wish to participate and donate to Bead Artists Against Breast Cancer. Due to a very generous contribution of lampworked beads from Jeanette Blix of the Glass Art Calendar 2008 and the featured artists, we will again have a Silent Auction once a day, Friday through Sunday. The Silent Auction this year will be relocated in the foyer of the 3rd floor of the Midwest Airlines Center - close to Registration. If you wish to participate in the Silent Auction, or donate items to the auction, please go out to the foyer area to meet with our volunteers and staff who will be covering the auction tables. The artists donating their work through the Glass Art Calendar are Jeff Barber, Judy Carlson, Jennifer Geldard, JC Herrell, Kristina Logan, Lisa Niven Kelly and Michael Barley, Sarah Moran, Tink Martin, Eric Rader, Carter Seibels, Stephanie Sersich and Dustin Tabor, Lucy Weir, and Beth Williams. We are extremely grateful to these outstanding lampworkers for making such a generous contribution to Bead Artists Against Breast Cancer fundraising efforts. Thank you!

Testimonials for Glass Art 2007 Calendar Below:

I received the calendar on Saturday - super fast shipping, Absolutely loved it - the pictures are beautiful and inspiring. Keep it up.

I love the calendar.  It is just as beautiful as I'd hoped it would be.  Monthly eye candy: what more could you ask for, except perhaps more months in the year (to bead, of course!)?  Since I don't have many bead stores where I am, I depend on things like this for my occasional "fix".
Thanks and keep up the good work,
Jeni Smathers

I think the calendar is fantastic.  The artwork is very inspirational and beautiful to look at plus the photography is wonderful.  I love the little artist blurbs, you kind of get a feel for that person.  Since I am a jewelry designer for the past 33 years (since I was 10, no...I'm NOT 90!) and a lampwork artist for 5 years this is my dream calendar.  No changes....PLEASE!  Unless you'd like to add more pics!
Thank you so much for your hard work.  You have done an excellent job.  Let me know when 2008 is available.

The Glass Art 2007 Calendar is beautifully designed.  I especially liked the small photos in addition to the large one for each month which reflected the breadth of the artist's work along with the accompanying artist contact information.  Thank you again for such a wonderful product.

I am an Art Director who is beginning a second career as a jewelry artist/craftsperson. I am renting some studio space and will be hopefully setting up in September. The Glass Art Calendar 2007 will be a welcome adornment to my empty walls. The design and layout of the calendar is clean, sophiticated and inviting. It really showcases the work of the artists. It will be a source of inspiration of things to come...

The Glass Art 2007 Calendar is not only high quality in the photography and printing but the content is absolutely stunning!  My only regret is that it will make me wish time away so I can get to the next month.

I am a glass artist. I started in stained glass, then moved to bead making/ jewerly designing and most recently fusing.  I love the calendar!   I love looking at other artist's beads and what they do with their beads.  I also use it as a resource for color ideas.  I feel that I am "color challenged" and your calendar will help me see how others use different colors to create very interesting and unusual beads.
Thanks, Rosemary

I think the calender is wonderful, I can't wait until january to put it up!!!  The photography is excellent! I am a glass bead artist (hobby level) and have taken classes from a few of the artists featured in your calender.  I look forward to seeing other calendars in the future.  The only suggestion I would have is that besides our favorite well known artists, it would be fun to see the work of new artists, who have not often been previously published.
Regards,

Becky

Jeanette, I love the Glass Art Calendar.  The photographs are beautiful and you included such an artistic variety of beads from some of my favorite artists.  I am a glass artist myself and hung the calendar in my studio for inspiration.  Thank you,

Your calendar is beautiful.  The photography is excellent.  It is lush and inspiring.   I have been a seed bead weaver for a few years.  I am new to glass work, but I am totally addicted.  I can't get out of the studio.  My teacher Patricia Wolfson loved it as well.  Good luck with the next one

I think the calendar is wonderful.  The overall quality is excellent and the glasswork and photography are spectacular!  I’m thrilled to own it. I’m a glass & jewelry artist as well as a glass and supplies vendor.
